The company's "Efficiency Increase in Glass Fiber Production" project, developed in its glass fiber business line, has been awarded the Digital Transformation Category First Prize at the 11th Productivity Project Awards organized by the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology.
The award was presented by Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır to Beytullah Şahin, Deputy General Production Manager at Şişecam.
First Prize Among 451 Projects
The "Efficiency Increase in Glass Fiber Production" project, which won first place in the competition where 451 qualified projects from 49 provinces across Turkey were evaluated, stood out through end-to-end integration of digital technologies into production processes, increased operational efficiency, optimized resource utilization, and contributions to sustainable production.
The project, which reflects Şişecam's digitalization and efficiency-focused approach, serves as an example for the sector's digital transformation, in addition to the tangible gains achieved in production processes.
