Şişecam recruits new young talent

Şişecam's Global Young Talent Programme Together launches seventh cycle. A total of 152 young talents selected through the programme will work for 7 months at Şişecam Headquarters, production facilities and R&D Centre. The seventh cycle of Şişecam's Global Young Talent Programme Together has commenced. Şişecam, a global player in the glass and chemicals sector, received applications from 5,364 students from 34 different universities this year. The 152 long-term interns selected through the programme will work for 7 months across various departments at Şişecam including production, supply chain, quality, sales and R&D. The seventh cycle, which will run until October, offers interns who successfully complete the programme priority consideration for employment opportunities at Şişecam. The selection process for Together was completed following various stages including a simulation game, English examination, video interviews and manager interviews. Following the evaluation process which included students from industrial, mechanical, chemical, metallurgy and materials engineering as well as business administration, chemistry and economics programmes, the 7-month internship period commenced at the end of February. During the programme, interns will have the opportunity to become familiar with Şişecam culture and shape their careers, as well as develop themselves through events such as training sessions, technical visits, inspiring talks, case studies, project presentations and departmental sessions. The Together Programme, which creates an opportunity for students to take their first steps in professional life at an established institution, once again underscores Şişecam's commitment to young talent. To date, 1,167 interns have participated in Şişecam's Together programme on a global scale. 467 students have commenced employment at Şişecam following completion of their internship period.
