Şişecam to Showcase Innovative Solar Energy Glass Solutions at Solarex İstanbul Fair

Şişecam, the only global player operating across all core glass sectors, will participate in Solarex Istanbul, the International Solar Energy and Technologies Fair, to be held at Istanbul Fairs Center between 8-10 April 2026. During the fair, Şişecam will present its solar energy glass solutions SolarMax and Şişecam Charger by ML System to sector professionals.

High-performance photovoltaic solutions with SolarMax
Şişecam will showcase its SolarMax product at the fair, which provides high efficiency in photovoltaic modules. With low iron content, the product offers high light transmittance, and its special Anti-Reflective (AR) coating minimizes light reflections, allowing more light to be transmitted into the panels. Thanks to its temperable structure, SolarMax has enhanced mechanical strength, supporting panel protection under harsh environmental conditions and delivering long-term performance in commercial projects.

Şişecam, which has increased its capacity 3.5 times through new-generation production investments, is strengthening its market-leading position in solar energy glass solutions while raising panel efficiency with SolarMax.

Şişecam Charger: Transforming buildings into energy-generating structures
Another solution Şişecam will introduce at the fair is Şişecam Charger by ML System, a building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) glass technology that transforms glass surfaces in facade and roof applications into active, energy-generating structures. Developed in collaboration with ML System, the product combines aesthetics and energy generation. With a tempered glass substrate and comprehensive documentation support, it facilitates technical integration into projects and contributes to sustainable building solutions.
