Şişecam Reports 2022 Performance Şişecam, a global player in the glass and chemicals sectors, continues its growth journey creating sustainable value. With consolidated net sales reaching TRY 95.3 billion for the fiscal year, Şişecam's exports from Turkey totalled USD 1.1 billion in 2022. International sales, representing the sum of exports from Turkey and sales from production outside Turkey, accounted for 63% of consolidated sales. Throughout 2022, Şişecam produced 5.8 million tonnes of glass, 4.9 million tonnes of soda ash and 4.4 million tonnes of industrial raw materials. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kırman, Chairman of the Board and Member with Signatory Authority at Şişecam, stated: "While persistent macroeconomic fluctuations and geopolitical risks worldwide have affected many institutions globally, we successfully concluded a challenging year with impacts of a different scale than previous crises, continuing our sustainable growth journey. In an environment where supply chain, production and logistics disruptions have affected every sector globally, through our investments, the agile structure brought by our One Şişecam transformation, our competencies and 87 years of experience, we continued to move towards and achieve our targets. As an established Republic company that has accompanied Turkey's 100-year-old Republic for 87 years, we proudly represent Turkey's production capacity across 4 continents in 14 countries. We are confident that in 2023, when we will complete our comprehensive transformation initiative, all Şişecam employees will realise our targeted investments, seize opportunities and continue our activities supporting the growth of the sectors we serve." Prof. Dr. Kırman expressed Şişecam's firm commitment to the goal of becoming one of the world's top three players in its core business areas, continuing: "2022 was a special year for Şişecam, as the United Nations declared it the International Year of Glass with Şişecam's contributions. Through our differentiated capabilities in smart technology use, skilled human resources and data-driven decision-making mechanisms, in 2022 we also created value for our stakeholders through our operational and financial results. Our results are significant in demonstrating once again Şişecam's strong performance under all conditions, its ability to adapt to changing circumstances and its flexibility. In this context, we continue to strive to create value for our investors, particularly value, even in difficult conditions with a long-term perspective, and to enable them to continue their journey with Şişecam while maintaining their confidence and trust. Ongoing investments total USD 7 billion

Prof. Dr. Kırman noted that Şişecam's 2022 investments began with the acquisition of Italian refractory producer Refel to secure sustainability, continuing: "2022 was an important year during which we held the groundbreaking ceremony for our first glass packaging facility investment in Europe in Hungary, decided to increase capacity in our ongoing frosted glass furnace and processing line investments in Mersin. We also began the first trials of Basalia technology, which converts all waste into harmless substances for a more sustainable world, at our Mersin plant in 2022. Our glass packaging investment in Eskişehir, our flat glass investment for the automotive business unit and our flat glass investments in the architectural glass business area are ongoing. Our natural soda investment in America and the total of our currently ongoing investments reach USD 7 billion when taking into account the increased investment costs due to the inflationary environment. In 2023, with our 24,000 employees and new investments contributing to our sustainable growth journey, we will continue to grow rapidly, decisively and selectively. We aim to commission our ongoing glass packaging furnace investment in Eskişehir and our automotive furnace investment in Lüleburgaz in the first half of 2023. We also view the support of each investment with the ArTeGe approach that we continue to develop as an important differentiation capability. With our global excellence focus and strong production capabilities, we supply inputs to various sectors across many geographies. Drawing strength from our roots, with our unique culture and transformation capability, we work with all our might to make our successes sustainable. Undoubtedly, in addition to our core business areas, we continue our pursuit of new fields based on cutting-edge technologies.
