Şişecam Cam Ambalaj, the fifth largest glass packaging manufacturer in Europe and globally, continues to produce glass packaging at its three production facilities in Turkey in various volumes ranging from 6 cc to 15,000 cc and in different colors for the food, water, mineral water, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors.

Şişecam Cam Ambalaj is Turkey's sole manufacturer that produces glass bottles for the pharmaceutical sector in compliance with world standards. Pharmaceutical bottles produced at Şişecam Cam Ambalaj's Eskişehir facility are manufactured using "Clean Room" application.

In this application, bottles are gradually cooled in closed annealing furnaces and then directly transferred to the Clean Room area, which is one of the requirements of glass pharmaceutical bottle production.

In this area, bottles undergoing various quality control stages are packaged on packaging machines located there and transferred to storage space specially prepared for pharmaceutical bottles. Thus, glass bottles destined to serve an important field such as healthcare complete their production process in the proper manner.

2,000 Square Meter "Clean Room"

Şişecam Cam Ambalaj's "Clean Room" application, set up over an area of approximately 2,000 square meters, is approved annually by I.C.C.E. (International Cleanroom Control and Engineering), an accredited organization, to guarantee ISO Class 8 conditions.

Also complying with EP (European Pharmacopoeia) standards, microbiological analyses are conducted in this area using samples taken from products, packaging materials, equipment and personnel.

Şişecam Cam Ambalaj continues to serve the sector through activities supported by R&D work, certified Clean Room pharmaceutical bottle production lines, a "Printing Facility" among Europe's largest, and a design team that has created internationally award-winning products.
