Şişecam Publishes BIM Smart Objects on BIMobject Şişecam has created BIM Smart Objects for its flat glass product range required for BIM-mandated projects and published them on its website and BIMobject. This enables industry professionals to access products on digital platforms as well. Şişecam, ranked among the world's top five flat glass producers, has created BIM (Building Information Modelling) Smart Objects—digital replicas of its products—and published them on its website and BIMobject to ensure its flat glass products are widely specified in projects where BIM use is mandatory. A BIM Smart Object contains a three-dimensional model of the product along with approximately 150 parameters including performance data, acoustics, classification criteria, dimensions, weight, thickness, glass combination, glass type, product group (double-glazed insulating units and triple-glazed insulating units), buildability limit, technical specifications and similar information. Users can download BIM Smart Objects for each product group in Revit Family *.rfa format and in *.txt and *.ifc file formats that facilitate their use. On Şişecam's website, users can filter products and download BIM files of the most suitable products for their projects.
