Record Third Quarter for Siemens: Orders Reach EUR 27.9 Billion

Siemens raised its annual earnings guidance after posting strong financial results, with orders rising to EUR 27.9 billion and revenue reaching EUR 20.8 billion in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026.

Technology company Siemens announced financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 ending 30 June 2026. The company reached record levels in orders, revenue and Industrial Business profit, and revised upward its earnings per share guidance (EPS pre PPA) for fiscal 2026 following strong nine-month performance.

According to disclosed data, orders increased 14 percent on a comparable basis to EUR 27.9 billion, while revenue rose 8 percent to EUR 20.8 billion. Industrial Business profit increased 25 percent to EUR 3.5 billion, reaching record levels, with profit margin at 17.3 percent. Net profit rose 15 percent to EUR 2.6 billion.

Strong cash flow and raised guidance
Siemens' group-level free cash flow increased 42 percent in the third quarter to EUR 4.1 billion. Due to strong operational performance, the company raised its guidance for basic earnings per share before purchase price accounting allocation (EPS pre PPA) for fiscal 2026 from the EUR 10.70-11.10 range to EUR 11.20-11.50.

Digital business division continued growth
Siemens' digital business division grew 18 percent in the first nine months of fiscal 2026, exceeding company targets. During the same period, the Smart Infrastructure business division recorded triple-digit growth in data center project orders, reaching approximately EUR 6 billion.

Smart Infrastructure and Digital Industries lead
Smart Infrastructure, one of the strongest-performing business divisions in the third quarter, increased orders 42 percent to EUR 8 billion. Growth was driven particularly by data center investments and electrification projects in the US and Europe. During the same period, segment revenue increased 13 percent, with profit margin at 20 percent.

In the Digital Industries business division, orders and revenue increased around 10 percent. Software revenue grew 15 percent, while the division's profit increased 44 percent to EUR 923 million.

Mobility division wins major contracts
In the Mobility division, order volume reached EUR 7.6 billion with contracts won for double-deck trains in Switzerland, maintenance services in the United Kingdom and battery-electric train projects in Germany. Segment revenue increased 6 percent, with railway infrastructure projects contributing significantly to growth.

Siemens announced it aims to continue profitable growth in the remainder of the year by pursuing investments in digitalization, industrial artificial intelligence, smart infrastructure and mobility.
