SEYTİM Wins Best Technology Award Seyhan Municipality Technology and Innovation Centre (SEYTİM) was deemed worthy of the "Best Technology Award" at the Mersin Golden Strawberry Awards ceremony. The Mersin Golden Strawberry Awards found their recipients. At the ceremony, the "Best Technology Award" was presented to SEYTİM, which operates in the technology and innovation sectors. Seyhan Municipality Mayor Akif Kemal Akay received the award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

"Our Sole Purpose is to Live in a Better World in the Near Future"

Mayor Akay delivered a speech at the award ceremony. In his remarks, Akay noted that technology will dominate the world's near future; "What we are doing now is preparing our children for artificial intelligence and metaverses in the coming period. On the other hand, in line with the European Green Deal and global developments, we are seeking to find ways to use technology in agriculture to obtain healthy and safe products in the most efficient manner with minimal environmental harm. SEYTİM is currently working on these issues. I hope our young people, who have started digital technology at a very young age, will use these in a more productive manner. This is our entire purpose. Our sole purpose is to live in a better world in the near future," he said.

Won "Youth-Friendly City" Award

The Seyhan Municipality Technology and Innovation Centre was opened to provide services in education, design and production to enable innovative ideas to be implemented. SEYTİM first won the "Youth-Friendly City" award for Seyhan Municipality in the "Youth-Friendly Cities Idea and Project Implementation" competition organised by the Turkish Union of Municipalities to enable young people to realise their potential, facilitate their active participation in decision-making and implementation processes and all aspects of social life, and support young entrepreneurs and innovative ideas. SEYTİM students who participated in the REX 2022 and ROOT 2022 nationwide robotics coding competitions achieved championship and second place in the REX 2022 competition, and 5th, 7th and 8th places in the ROOT 2022 competition.
