Schneider Electric Maintains Leadership in ESG Ratings
Schneider Electric has secured its 13th consecutive placement on the prestigious Corporate Knights Global 100 and Dow Jones Sustainability World Index lists, maintaining its leadership in ESG ratings.
Schneider Electric, which leads the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has been named for the 13th consecutive year on the "World's Most Sustainable Companies" list announced by Corporate Knights 2024 Global 100.
Schneider Electric entered the list in first place within its sector, while ranking 7th on the Global 100 list. Schneider Electric's placement in the top 10 demonstrates strong performance in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) areas and the close relationship between sustainability and the company's business strategy and solutions. Since 2012, Schneider Electric is the only company in its sector to have ranked in the top 10 six times.
Corporate Knights' Global 100 ranking is based on the evaluation of 25 key performance indicators (KPIs) disclosed publicly by companies. These indicators include resource management, employee management, financial management, sustainable revenue, sustainable investment and supplier performance. In this year's rigorous evaluation, approximately 7,000 publicly listed companies with revenues exceeding USD 1 billion were examined.
Schneider Electric was also included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the 13th consecutive year. In the 2023 Corporate Sustainability Assessment, it received an ESG score of 88 out of 100 from S&P Global, ranking first in its sector and solidifying its position on the Europe index.
Schneider Electric's performance on both independent lists reflects the company's deep commitment to sustainability and its efforts to create positive impact, including improving access to decent work across the value chain, establishing global standards for paid family leave, implementing decarbonization and resilience plans.
