Schneider Electric Shapes the Future of Energy Technologies at Davos

Global energy technology leader Schneider Electric announced its participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting taking place in Davos, Switzerland. The Schneider Electric delegation, led by CEO Olivier Blum, will participate in meetings as part of cross-sector collaborations aimed at advancing energy technologies.

Artificial intelligence applications driving real impact
Schneider Electric participated in phases 1 and 2 of MINDS (Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions), the World Economic Forum's global program highlighting high-impact, real-world artificial intelligence applications. CEO Olivier Blum will accept awards given in the names of EcoStruxure Microgrid Advisor and Snaplogic Touchscreen Room Controller at the winners' reception to be held on 20 January 2026 as part of the WEF Annual Meeting.

Schneider Electric's ninth Lighthouse factory award
The World Economic Forum Global Lighthouse Network, which identifies and honors the world's most advanced operational facilities, honored Schneider Electric's Wuhan factory. The Wuhan facility was one of only three factories worldwide to receive an award in the "skills" category, launched for the first time this year. This achievement represents Schneider Electric's ninth Lighthouse award. The factory was honored for pioneering a future-ready, human-centered workforce model that closes capability gaps and sets a new benchmark for manufacturing resilience.

Cross-sector engagement with top-level leaders
Frédéric Godemel, Executive Vice President responsible for Energy Management at Schneider Electric, will convene a cross-sector group comprising global decision-makers and opinion leaders on behalf of the Bloomberg New Economy Energy Technology Coalition. This will be the Coalition's first major meeting, aimed at accelerating the adoption of technologies that make energy consumption more efficient, resilient and responsive in the face of rapidly rising global electricity demand.

Empowering change for disadvantaged communities
Schneider Electric and EDP jointly launched EDGE Transition, a global accelerator that will support social entrepreneurs offering clean, affordable energy solutions and inclusive economic opportunities in disadvantaged communities.

The program supports early-stage impact enterprises through mentoring, technical validation, strategic partnerships and access to long-term, risk-tolerant capital. This initiative, focused on serving disadvantaged communities and improving equitable access to energy, aims to accelerate energy transition and promote sustainable global electrification.

The two companies will announce their partnership on 21 January in Davos.
