SABIC Acquires 24.99% Stake in Clariant

Clariant has confirmed that SABIC, a business partner operating in the chemicals sector, has acquired 24.99 percent of its shares. By purchasing these shares, which were previously held by White Tale and 40 North, SABIC has become Clariant's largest shareholder. In accordance with industry practice, SABIC's intention to acquire the shares was communicated to Clariant prior to the transaction. SABIC, one of the world's leading chemicals companies, operates in the specialty chemicals field alongside Clariant and is also a member of the Scientific Design partnership together with Clariant. Clariant plans to begin negotiations with SABIC in the coming weeks to examine the new situation and explore ways to create value. Clariant will also continue its regular dialogue with other shareholders.
