Turkey's wind energy sector is gaining strong momentum in both electricity generation and industrial capacity. As of the first half of 2025, Turkey's installed wind power capacity reached approximately 14.5 GW, with wind accounting for 12.25% of electricity generation in the first half of the year.

The Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB), the sector's umbrella organization, held its Board of Directors meeting at AEMOT Electric Motor & Generator headquarters in Aksaray as part of visits aimed at strengthening cooperation with its members.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Kasım Gönüllü attended the visit and made remarks. TÜREB management also visited Aksaray Governor Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoğlu at his office, where they held important consultations on the sector's future.

TÜREB Board Chairman Dr. İbrahim Erden commented on the visit as follows:
"Our members are very valuable to us. Visiting AEMOT, one of our country's important assets, on site with our board of directors to conduct examinations and evaluate future cooperation is of great importance to us. We continued our consultations on our sector's development through one-on-one meetings with our Deputy Minister and our Governor. We will continue to be in the field and intensify our efforts."

AEMOT Motors Board Chairman Osman Altuntaş summarized the company's vision in the renewable energy field as follows:
"Our priorities include contributing to reducing industry's energy consumption by producing high-efficiency electric motors, enabling more effective use of renewable energy sources through our wind turbine and hydroelectric generators, and adding value to future transportation technologies through our electric vehicle motor production. Through our research and development and investments, we are working towards a more sustainable future."

AEMOT Motors General Manager Sami Akdoğan provided information about the factory and noted:
"Our facility, located on approximately 2 million square meters, has an annual production capacity of 120,000 motors. We produce general-purpose electric motors for industry, high-efficiency motors for the energy sector, generators for renewable energy, and electric vehicle motors. The wind energy sector is a strategic partner for us."

Following comprehensive inspections at the AEMOT facility, the TÜREB delegation held its Board of Directors meeting with broad participation.
