ACHEMA Process Engineering Congress to Take Place in Istanbul

The 4th International Process Systems Engineering Workshop, organized by the Chamber of Chemical Engineers İstanbul Branch, will be held at Koç University's Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations on 30 March-1 April 2026.
The 4th International Process Systems Engineering Workshop, organised by the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Chemical Engineers, will be held at Koç University Anatolian Civilizations Research Centre between 30 March and 1 April 2026.
The workshop will bring together approximately thirty distinguished academics and researchers from leading universities worldwide including Princeton, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, Purdue, ETH Zurich and Texas A&M, making it the most comprehensive event in this field for Turkey and the region. Centred on the "Factory of the Future" approach, the event will address process design, management and artificial intelligence-enabled production efficiency.
The workshop will discuss from a multidisciplinary perspective how artificial intelligence, data-driven optimisation and advanced process systems engineering approaches can be integrated into industrial problems. Advanced techniques such as physics-informed neural networks, quantum computing-based logistics optimisation and symbolic regression will be examined in relation to their impacts on process design and operations.
Technical approaches that will contribute to compliance with current regulations such as the EU Green Deal, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements will also be evaluated within the workshop scope.
The event is designed for R&D engineers, process and operations managers, digital transformation teams, supply chain specialists and sustainability officers working in the chemical, pharmaceutical, energy, paints, petrochemical and other manufacturing sectors, offering participants the opportunity to benchmark their institutional approaches against global best practices and to build networks at an international level.
