Prof. Dr. Rana Nomak Sanyal Makes History in the Republic of Türkiye

Rana Nomak Sanyal, head of the Chemistry Department at Boğaziçi University, has received permission from the Ministry of Health to test a cancer drug she developed on human subjects. The drug will target multiple cancer types and contains molecules designed to act on different cell types. The medication is expected to produce a slow and stable effect once it enters the human body.

Prof. Dr. Rana Nomak Sanyal, head of the Chemistry Department at Boğaziçi University and director of the Life Sciences and Technologies Center, has been awarded the "Turkey's Promising Women Entrepreneur" award at the 12th edition of the "Turkey's Women Entrepreneur Competition," organized jointly by Garanti Bank's Economist Magazine and the Turkish Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGİDER). The award recognizes her role as founder of RS Research.
