Polisan Kansai Boya launches Exelans Turbo Flex C1 technology-designed exterior facade paint

Turkey's pioneering paint brand Polisan Kansai Boya, a brand of firsts in the Turkish paint market, has once again set a new precedent by introducing Exelans Turbo Flex C1, a new exterior facade paint that will revolutionize the architectural coatings category, placing it at the service of the Turkish paint and construction sectors.

Both Prevents Concrete Cracking and Reduces the Destructive Effects of Earthquakes

Developed by the experienced and expert R&D Center engineers at Polisan Kansai Boya, which partners with technology giant Kansai Paint and world leader US-based Dow Chemical®, the exterior facade paint "Exelans Turbo Flex C1" possesses high flexibility and elasticity through its special formula, preventing concrete from cracking due to weather conditions in the buildings where it is applied, while halting aging and reducing the destructive effects of potential earthquakes.

Erol Mizrahi, CEO of Polisan Holding, commenting on the new exterior facade paint Exelans Turbo Flex C1, stated: "We are proud to introduce a first-of-its-kind and unique product to our paint sector in Turkey. Exelans Turbo Flex C1 is not an ordinary exterior facade paint, but a product of collective intelligence developed by our experienced and expert R&D Center team with the support of our major partners Dow Chemical and Kansai Paint. The C1 in our Exelans Turbo Flex C1 product name is derived from the class type in TSE standards. According to TSE, the C1 class product on exterior facades certifies the absence of carbon dioxide permeability, and our product has been certified to be in this class. Thanks to its anti-carbonation property, Exelans Turbo Flex C1 can be safely used even in difficult areas that are relatively more susceptible to corrosion, such as bridges, metros, car parks and high-rise buildings. Unprotected reinforcement in contact with water rusts and expands 4 to 6 times in volume. This causes concrete to burst. Cracks on the concrete surface allow carbon dioxide to rapidly penetrate into the interior. The volume increase (rust) that occurs on the surface of this corroded reinforcement is one of the important causes of concrete cracking and spalling, as concrete is a material with low tensile strength and is brittle. In accordance with its special formula and anti-carbonation property, Exelans Turbo Flex C1, with its high flexibility and elasticity, allows the paint film to move with the surface. In this way, it prevents the formation of microcracks and prevents carbon dioxide from entering the concrete from the atmosphere, extending the lifespan of buildings. Additionally, by preventing concrete aging on the reinforcement where it is applied, it minimizes the destructive effects of earthquakes. The property of Exelans Turbo Flex C1 demonstrating that it prevents carbon dioxide permeability has also been certified by German IBOS, one of the world's independent laboratories.
