Poliport Increases Liquid Bulk Storage Capacity

Poliport to increase bulk liquid storage capacity with USD 5.5 million renovation and modernization investment in Kocaeli Port Region. The eighth tank farm with a capacity of 5,850 cubic meters, whose modernization began in November, is planned to be put into operation in September 2024. Operating for over 50 years in the Kocaeli Gulf Region, which is strategically the most important location in Turkey and a leader in cargo handling, Poliport, one of the region's major operators, continues to improve bulk liquid storage service quality through modernization and infrastructure renewal investments. Offering bulk liquid storage services; dry cargo and general cargo loading-unloading services as well as warehousing services, Poliport will invest USD 5.5 million for the renewal of its eighth tank farm with a capacity of 5,850 cubic meters. The eighth tank farm, whose modernization began in November, is planned to be put into operation in September 2024. At Poliport's bulk liquid tank farm, which has the capacity to serve 1,500 vessels annually, 65 different chemical substances are handled, including solvents, alcohols, fuel oil, gas oil, base oil, hydrocarbons, glycols, methanol and ethylene. Poliport, which provides handling services for aluminum, coil sheet, pig iron, plate sheet, big bag, palletized, packaged, standard and non-standard products, has an annual dry cargo handling capacity of 5 million tons.
