Platin Global 100 Awards 2025 took place with the attendance of Head of the Presidency Investment and Finance Office A. Burak Dağlıoğlu and Minister of Commerce Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat.
Platin Global 100 Awards, held under the sponsorship of Borsa Istanbul, Takas Istanbul, Central Registry Agency, Turkish Airlines, Türk Telekom, Vakıfbank and Ziraat Bankası, was broadcast live on 24 TV. At the awards ceremony, Head of the Presidency Investment and Finance Office A. Burak Dağlıoğlu, Minister of Commerce Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and Editor-in-Chief of Platin Magazine Bahar Akgün made remarks.
Bahar Akgün, Editor-in-Chief of Platin Magazine, who opened the eighth edition of Platin Global 100 Awards, stated: "Platin Magazine is a reference economy and business publication that aims to produce thematic content that shapes Turkey's business world today and tomorrow, with 27 years of publishing experience. In line with this vision, the Platin Global 100 Index, prepared in cooperation with Ipsos Turkey, brings together Turkish companies that stand out on a global scale with their production and export performance for the eighth time. These companies, which successfully represent our country in different sectors, are awarded each year within the framework of forward-looking themes determined annually.
As of 2025, the focus of Platin Global 100 has been on Impact Economy, which addresses economic growth together with social and environmental benefits. This approach, shaped on the basis of transparency, measurability and accountability, represents the transition from output to outcome, from intention to real impact. By supporting companies that align with Turkey's Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS) and place impact management at their core, the goal is to contribute to the creation of an ecosystem that makes sustainability an integral part of business practices. With this understanding, companies that design the future today and create tangible value are being awarded to pioneer impact-focused transformation in Turkey's business world," she said.
Head of the Presidency Investment Office Burak Dağlıoğlu also stated in his remarks that the Impact Economy approach represents a qualitative transformation in investment understanding, noting that investments have so far been evaluated primarily on their scale, but at this point how investments create economic, social and environmental impact has become equally important. He expressed that impact economy provides a comprehensive framework that strengthens principles of transparency, measurability and accountability in line with sustainable development goals. Dağlıoğlu also pointed out that through strategic steps such as Turkey's National Technology Initiative and National Energy and Mining Policy, Turkey has advanced to a position of not only being an investment hub but also a guiding actor in the global investment ecosystem. Noting that impact investment, social impact analysis and impact-driven fund mechanisms are rapidly developing in Turkey, Dağlıoğlu stated that financial resources allocated to these areas will increase in the coming period and that the impact-focused approach will become a permanent element of the investment ecosystem.
Minister of Commerce Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat made remarks at the Platin Global 100 Awards Ceremony, held for the eighth time. He noted that the global economy is undergoing an important transformation process marked by multi-dimensional challenges such as geopolitical tensions, trade wars, digitalization and climate change. Drawing attention to the fact that despite limited upward revisions in growth expectations by international organizations, global growth remains below historical averages, the Minister stated that despite all these challenges, the Turkish economy has succeeded in achieving positive divergence through its production capacity and export power.
Bolat emphasized that Turkey's economy continued its uninterrupted growth in 2025, noting that nominal GDP exceeded 1.5 trillion dollars, reaching record levels, goods exports reached 270 billion dollars on an annualized basis, and services exports achieved a historic success with 117 billion dollars. Noting that the strong improvement in the current account deficit has strengthened macroeconomic balances, the Minister pointed to the strategic importance of green and digital transformation and domestic and national production within the framework of sustainable export understanding. Placing special emphasis on the concept of Impact Economy in his remarks, the Minister stated that economic success can no longer be measured solely by scale and volume, saying, "Today we must not only ask how much we produce, but also how we produce it, for whom we produce it and what impact we have." Expressing that impact economy presents a new paradigm centered on environmental sustainability, social welfare and sustainable value creation, the Minister emphasized that this approach will be promoted through collaboration among public, private sector, civil society and academia.
The Minister added to his remarks that awarding companies through the Platin Global 100 Awards that stand out not only with their commercial success but also with the social and environmental impact they create contributes significantly to Turkey's sustainable and inclusive growth objectives.
Platin Global 100 Awards, which was also broadcast live on 24 TV, concluded with a commemorative photograph.
