Parkurda Pazaryeri, whose preparations began in 2017 and pilot orders commenced in 2023, launched with 15 stores across 15 main and 30 subcategories. Targeting TRY 20 million in revenue for 2024 and planned to reach USD 300 million by 2030, Parkurda Pazaryeri will expand to over 100 stores and 70 categories by year-end. The platform, expected to generate impact across Turkish industrial zones and the broader economy, will reach 10,000 customers next year. Tezmaksan took a new step in its digitalization drive by launching Parkurda Pazaryeri, the industry's first platform of its kind. Hakan Aydoğdu, General Manager of Tezmaksan A.Ş., noted that 2023 was devoted to Parkurda Pazaryeri's development processes, store launches and system integration. "Through our test orders, we confirmed our system operates without issues. Parkurda Pazaryeri currently has 15 operating stores and 15 main categories. We are targeting TRY 20 million in revenue for Parkurda Pazaryeri in 2024. We plan to increase this figure to USD 300 million by 2030. We expect the volume created to impact not just industrial zones but all of Turkey. From day one, we established our main categories fully. We aim to increase our store count above 100, raise our subcategories from the current 30 to 70 by end of 2024, and grow our customer base above 10,000," he said. All Required Products on Parkurda Pazaryeri
Hakan Aydoğdu noted that the Parkurda Pazaryeri concept emerged in 2017 as one of the most critical elements forming the project foundation at parkurda.com. "As the world rapidly digitalizes and globalizes, the machining sector faces the necessity to quickly adapt to this transformation. The Parkurda project emerged with the aim of leading this change. Considering our 40 years of experience in the sector, following the path the world has evolved, the concepts of Parkurda Job Shop and Parkurda Marketplace inevitably became central to the project. While production occurs at Parkurda Job Shop, at Parkurda Pazaryeri all products needed to continue production can be procured quickly. Our research showed substantial growing demand in this area within the sector. Additionally, the pandemic caused serious disruptions in supply chains. While traditional trade was more severely affected by these disruptions, e-commerce developed at a much faster pace conversely. Payment systems improved, logistics companies performed faster product shipments. In customer behavior, online purchasing habits for products increased in both B2C and B2B terms. We decided to implement Parkurda Pazaryeri investment to enable our sector to leverage opportunities such as accessing new local and global business opportunities, building brands, reaching customers directly and conducting business with high unit margins during this period," he said.
Boosting Activity in the Sector
Noting that Parkurda Pazaryeri serves as a clear bridge between businesses, Aydoğdu continued: "Thanks to our platform, all companies from the most rural regions to the most developed areas of our country can easily procure parts, and selling firms no longer face distance as a problem with their customers. Parkurda Pazaryeri increases sectoral activity by getting machines halted due to spare part shortages back into operation faster. This allows us to expand employment and distribute income to all sector stakeholders large and small. Through our platform, which increases inventory turnover rates and boosts activity within the sector, selling firms expand their customer networks, and since their payments are guaranteed at term end, selling becomes easier and less risky. Additionally, since selling stores have their own panels, they can easily manage stock, prices and orders without any technical knowledge."
Target: TRY 20 Million Revenue
Stating that 2023 was devoted to Parkurda Pazaryeri's development processes, store launches and system integration, Aydoğdu outlined 2024 targets as follows: "We established our main categories on day one at Parkurda Pazaryeri. We aim to increase our store count above 100 and raise our subcategories from 30 to 70 by end of 2024. We aim to grow our customer base above 10,000. We target reaching TRY 20 million in revenue at Parkurda Pazaryeri within 2024. By 2030, we plan to increase this figure to USD 300 million. We expect this volume to impact not just industrial zones but all of Turkey. Moreover, we have begun development work on our Parkurda Pazaryeri Mobile app to quickly track global digital trends and improve customer experience. We will emphasize this next year as well." On the platform where suppliers across Turkey operate their own online stores and sell products thanks to wide product variety, easy and fast product access and secure payment systems, there are a total of 15 main categories including electrical & electronics, mechanical, industrial automation, bearings, test & measurement instruments, hardware & hand tools, hydraulic & pneumatic, machine accessories, tool holders, cutting tools, consumables, mineral oils & fluids, machinery & equipment, cooling and ventilation, and training.
