The "Furniture Design Project" is being conducted through collaboration between Bahçeşehir University, A GOOD IDEA and MOBDER (Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters Association). Skyland HOM, one of Turkey's largest decoration and design centres operating under Eroğlu Global Holding, is hosting the work. The project aims to bring students' creative ideas together with the experience of strong brands in the sector.
The interim jury session of the project, which began in October, was held at Skyland HOM Decoration Centre with the participation of students, academics and sector representatives. At this stage, students presented their analyses, needs definitions and roadmaps for leading brands in the sector.

Academic and Sectoral Collaboration Strengthening
A GOOD IDEA: LAB by MOBDER, continuing under the academic supervision of Assoc. Prof. Bilgen Tuncer, Assistant Prof. Renk Dimli Oraklıbel and Instructor Aslıhan Yılmaz; and project management by demirden|ilio, presents a modern educational model that brings young designers' creative potential together with the sector. Persan, one of the established brands in the decoration field, contributes to the work as project general supporter. Professional guidance from MOBDER member brands enables 32 students to develop their designs by experiencing actual production processes.
Design Phase Ahead
Following interim jury presentations, students will proceed to product design processes based on feedback received from the brands. The resulting designs will be exhibited at the International Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF) between 27-31 January 2026 in the A GOOD IDEA stand and subsequently at Skyland HOM – A GOOD IDEA: LAB by MOBDER area.
