Novartis Türkiye Executive Appointed to Global Role

Sevgi Direk, who successfully served as Director of Market Access and External Relations at Novartis Pharma Turkey, was appointed in April 2018 as Director of Market Access & Health Economics to the Novartis Pharma Global Cardio Metabolism team. Sevgi Direk will be based in Basel, Switzerland and will lead market access and health economics initiatives for the Cardio Metabolism therapeutic area in the global market in her new role. Direk began her career in 2003 at Abdi İbrahim, and after holding various positions, worked as Licensing Director until 2012. Between 2012-2014, she served at AİFD as Licensing and Pricing Director, followed by Market Access Director. Direk also served as Health Economics & Market Access Manager at Johnson & Johnson between 2014-2016.

Novartis Pharma Turkey Makes Senior Appointment

Novartis Turkey has made a new appointment to establish the most suitable working model and organizational structure. Fatih Sarıöz, who joined Novartis Pharma Turkey in 2016 and currently serves as Director of the Cardiovascular, Metabolism and Respiratory Business Unit, was appointed in April 2018 as "Director of Market Access & External Relations and Cardiovascular, Metabolism and Respiratory Business Unit," taking on responsibility for market access and external relations in addition to his current position. Sarıöz is a graduate of Istanbul University's Istanbul Medical Faculty and began his career in 1994 as a physician. He subsequently worked at Pfizer Pharma from 1998-2007 as Medical Director and Health Economics Manager. Sarıöz moved to Johnson & Johnson in 2007, where he held positions as Health Economics & Market Access Manager, Public Relations Manager and Corporate Relations Director.
