Novartis Oncology Turkey and Eczacıbaşı İlaç Pazarlama A.Ş. Sign Cooperation Agreement

Novartis Oncology Turkey and Eczacıbaşı İlaç Pazarlama A.Ş., which operates with 350 employees in hospital products, dermatology, urology, gastroenterology, pediatrics, consumer health and oncology, have signed a joint cooperation agreement focused on patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Under the agreement, Novartis Oncology Turkey granted Eczacıbaşı İlaç Pazarlama A.Ş. temporary sales, promotion and distribution rights for 3 products in the treatment areas of acromegaly, NET, GIST, CML and lung cancer (with licenses remaining with Novartis) in Turkey and Northern Cyprus effective 1 August 2019. Pınar Üstündağ, General Manager of Novartis Oncology Turkey, stated: "As Novartis Oncology, we continue our activities to develop and provide innovative oncology medicines in response to the medical needs of patients with cancer and related diseases. In this context, we possess one of the largest portfolios globally, with nearly 20 products for more than 25 diseases in the oncology, hematology and rare diseases areas. In line with the increasing need for development and added value in the pharmaceutical sector each day, we evaluate our responsibility in this field through collaborations for targeted improvements in public health, employment support, contributions to the national economy and research and development capacity." he said.
