Neste and Braskem Sign Agreement on Sustainable Raw Materials

Braskem will use Neste's more sustainable raw materials to produce circular and bio-based polymer resins and chemicals.
Neste and Braskem have reached an agreement on the supply of renewable and recycled raw materials for polymer and chemical production. Products based on these raw materials are expected to be on the market starting from the fourth quarter of 2024. The products will be sold primarily in South America and will be part of Braskem's Wenew product portfolio.
Braskem will sell polymer resins and chemicals produced from Neste RE™, Neste's more sustainable raw material. This recycled raw material is derived from plastic waste through chemical recycling, while the renewable raw material is produced by processing renewable feedstocks such as used cooking oil (UCO).
