Merck Announces Appointments in Turkey

Merck Turkey continues to strengthen its teams with new appointments.

Belma BOZKURT

Belma Bozkurt has been appointed as Marketing Manager for Neurology, Immunology, Thyroid and Endocrinology at Merck Turkey. Bozkurt will coordinate marketing activities for new launches and existing products in the therapeutic areas under her responsibility. A graduate of the Business Administration Department at Marmara University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Bozkurt completed her MBA with honors at Yeditepe University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences on a scholarship. Belma Bozkurt began her professional career at Abdi İbrahim pharmaceutical company, later serving as Product Manager in the Growth Hormone group at Novo Nordisk and as Regional Product Manager for the Diabetes area in the Near East region. She successfully led the Contract Sales Organisation (CSO) business development project in the Hormone Replacement Therapy field within the company's Biopharma portfolio. With experience across eight different therapeutic areas, Belma Bozkurt has gained expertise in launches, CSO, licensor relations, generics, original molecules and biotechnology. With 12 years of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical sector, Bozkurt has received first-place awards for "best product identity" and "most successful medical marketing campaign" in the launch work she conducted.

Ertuğrul AKBAŞ

Merck Turkey has appointed Ertuğrul Akbaş as Medical Manager responsible for the Fertility Therapeutics area. With a total of 12 years of professional experience at various levels in the pharmaceutical sector, Akbaş has worked in medical and marketing departments at Roche, GSK and Merck.

A graduate of Istanbul University of Science Faculty of Medicine, Akbaş completed his master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at Boğaziçi University.Aydan DİNÇER

Aydan Dinçer has been appointed as Senior Manager, Oncology at Merck Turkey office. Aydan Dinçer will coordinate marketing activities for new launches and existing products in the Turkish oncology therapeutic area. Beginning her professional career at Siemens Business Services, Aydan Dinçer subsequently worked at Fresenius Kabi and Novartis. Working in the rare diseases field at Novartis, Dinçer supported launch activities for rare diseases in the Middle East and Africa regions. Most recently, she served as Senior Product Manager responsible for launch products in the cardiovascular group. With a total of 15 years of sales and marketing experience, Dinçer is a graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics.
