Materials engineering is an engineering discipline open to the future

GTÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Keskinler, who delivered the opening speech of the congress, expressed satisfaction at hosting such an important organization and welcoming the participants. Keskinler continued as follows: "Materials Science is a scientific field that shows very rapid development compared to other scientific disciplines. Developments and changes in this technology are taking place in our lives at a very fast pace. Beginning with the carbon steel adventure, Materials Science today encompasses composite materials, nanomaterials, polymers and ceramic materials in every aspect of our lives. It finds extensive application particularly in defense technology, the pharmaceutical industry, the chemical sector and all other industrial fields. For this reason, I view the Materials engineering department within engineering education as an engineering discipline with a very open future and responsive to developments. Club President Özeren: 'We have taken another step towards our goal' Following Keskinler, GTÜ Materials Science Club President Metin Ali Özeren delivered remarks and thanked the instructors and team members who contributed to this organization.
