'Made in Türkiye' Takes Humanitarian and Goodwill Movement a Step Further
During a period when the Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted international trade, the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), which has continued working without interruption, has expanded its "National Production Mobilization" initiative to an international scale.
Through this, the Turkey Promotion Group (TTG), operating under TİM, has implemented the #GoodnessFromTürkiye project to carry out international promotion and solidarity efforts.
Within the scope of the project, TTG has prepared specially designed hygiene product kits bearing the "Made in Türkiye" logo to symbolize Turkey's spirit of solidarity during this period and to enhance the country's brand value. DHL Express, the project's logistics partner, will deliver these kits to major buyers, commercial association representatives, press members and globally renowned social media influencers in over 60 countries.
Additionally, for two months, DHL will include #GoodnessFromTürkiye tags on every shipment sent abroad, carrying Turkey's and the exporters' message of goodwill.
Domestically, the same message will appear on courier vehicles. During the event held at TİM headquarters for the kit shipments, TİM and TTG Chairman İsmail Gülle and DHL Express Turkey CEO Claus Lassen were present.
TİM and TTG Chairman İsmail Gülle made the following remarks on the matter: "During this challenging period facing the world, we are passing an important test both as a country and as exporters.
As indicated by our Health Ministry's data, under the strong leadership of our President, the effective management of the fight against the virus has enabled us to take normalization steps for Turkey's economy after reaching the peak of the pandemic earlier than expected. In this process, to showcase Turkey's production and supply capabilities to the entire world, our product donations to over 70 countries represent a sign of Turkey's international solidarity capabilities. As Turkey, we are trying to extend our helping hand to all necessary points. Although international conditions may become challenging at times, we as exporters continue to work with all our strength without stepping back from our objectives since day one. Despite difficulties in the global supply chain, we have reinforced confidence by delivering our products on time to their destinations. We believe this will provide us with significant advantages in the coming period and will make an important contribution to Turkey's brand reaching a different position in the eyes of international buyers," he said. Gülle continued: "Our exporters, who for years have worked, produced, designed and built brands for the country and world economy, are fighting with a sense of tribal loyalty through this difficult period. In this important process, they have launched a 'National Production Mobilization' to supply medical materials for the health of our country and our world. While our country supports the global struggle by extending a friendly hand to over 70 countries during the Covid-19 pandemic, we as exporters are taking this 'Humanity' and 'Goodness' movement one step further with 'Made in Türkiye' hygiene products.By sending specially designed hygiene kits to major buyers in our target markets, commercial association representatives and press members, we aim to both revive the spirit of solidarity during difficult times and to reinforce the perception of Turkish products and our position as 'Reliable Supplier Türkiye'.
First and foremost, we believe that all of humanity must unite both in mind and heart to overcome this global pandemic. With Covid-19, awareness regarding personal hygiene has reached very high levels. It is expected that this awareness will continue in the period we call the new normal. We wanted to convey to our stakeholders abroad the message that we stand with them through hygiene products produced in our country. At the same time, we seized the opportunity to remind once again that production continues in our country and that we are here today and in the future as a reliable partner for supply needs in all areas. During this process, I would like to thank all the manufacturers who supported the preparation of the products and DHL Express for taking on the logistics of the kits going to all corners of the world. To overcome this global pandemic that has deeply affected all of us, we believe that measures taken will stop the pandemic and crises if applied firmly by all country authorities. We think that in terms of human health, which is the most important matter, development will follow as much as we can create a sustainable environment," he said.DHL Express Turkey CEO Claus Lassen made the following remarks on the matter: "We continue our mission of connecting businesses in Turkey to the world, as always, even during the Covid-19 pandemic we are experiencing.
In this process, we see that Turkey's young, entrepreneurial and dynamic exporter family, as always, works with great determination and enthusiasm to grow their businesses and enter new markets. We are pleased to work as close business partners with them during this period, with our products and services that will make the process as easy as domestic trade for those who want to export, and with our expert teams. We have collaborated with the strong voice of Turkish exporters, TİM, in many projects before. The cooperation we launched today gave us the opportunity to do more in promoting Made in Türkiye products to the world. We are pleased to use our expertise to ensure these goodwill products reach their counterparts around the world in the fastest way possible and to contribute to Turkey's promotion," he said.Advertisement
