LÖSEV Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary
LÖSEV is preparing a special evening to mark its 25th anniversary with a stage performance by renowned artist Sıla Gençoğlu. At the event, which will host important figures from business, arts, healthcare and media, LÖSEV will share its 25-year journey of struggle filled with compassion, goodwill and hope with attendees.
Stretching from a small examination room to millions, the Leukemic Children Health and Education Foundation LÖSEV, which has touched tens of thousands of lives stitch by stitch, is preparing to celebrate its quarter-century milestone.
Starting service in 1998 with 35 children with leukemia, LÖSEV today extends support to nearly 75,000 families, creating Turkey's and the world's largest volunteer network with over 6 million volunteers.
Expanding its network year after year from donors to staff, from registered patients to volunteers, LÖSEV will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special evening to be held at Istanbul İş Sanat on 19 September 2023.
The evening will begin with cocktails and music, during which LÖSEV will share the milestones and struggles of its 25-year journey with guests. Later, renowned artist Sıla Gençoğlu will take the stage, hosting important figures from business, arts, healthcare and media.
At this special evening, Sıla Gençoğlu will be accompanied by a choir composed of children with leukemia, which LÖSEV created to increase life motivation and boost confidence of children who face physical and psychological difficulties during their illness.
The evening will also include the presentation of the "LÖSEV Quarter-Century Award" to individuals who strengthen LÖSEV's work and support raising public awareness about leukemia and childhood cancers.
Fighting with compassion, goodwill and hope
With 25 years behind it, LÖSEV consistently fights against leukemia and cancer with compassion, goodwill and hope. LOSANTE Hospital has become one of the most competent healthcare institutions in its field, achieving a 94 percent success rate in leukemia treatment with innovations required by technology and targeting 100 percent. LÖSEV, which has made it its mission to guide, embrace with love and most importantly cure every child without leaving them to the arms of despair created by poverty, has been carrying out work since 1998 that contributes to public awareness, solidarity, the spread of goodwill and social policies. Aiming to contribute to humanity and science at a universal level, LÖSEV not only provides free treatment for children and young people fighting leukemia and cancer, but also supports them through LSV Educational Institutions, summer camps, My Dear Sibling Project and education scholarships; encouraging research, critical thinking, learning to learn and developing creative ideas. Thus LÖSEV contributes to the education of young people equipped with high moral values, whose foundation is reason and science, who are conscious of their social responsibilities, who have made Atatürk's principles their guide, who love their country and struggle for it.Advertisement
