L'Oréal Grup has risen to ninth place in the "2024 Equileap Gender Equality Report" published by Equileap, which evaluates 3,795 publicly listed companies across 27 different sectors worldwide according to various criteria. L'Oréal Grup, which has appeared in the Equileap Gender Equality Report for seven consecutive years, ranked first in France. L'Oréal Grup Chief Executive Officer Nicolas Hieronimus said, "We are proud that our ongoing progress over the years and our commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion have been recognized once again. I would like to thank all the teams whose efforts have enabled us to be among the top ten companies this year. As we have seen in the results of employee engagement surveys, diversity, equity and inclusion not only move the company to a better place but also make an important contribution to employee satisfaction and engagement." L'Oréal Grup Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Margaret Johnston-Clarke stated, "Behind L'Oréal Grup's consecutive seven-year inclusion in the Equileap Gender Equality Report are the solid policies and concrete steps we have implemented both within the company and externally with our suppliers and partners to promote gender equality. We will continue to implement the policies necessary to provide inclusive, successful and rewarding work environments on a global scale." The Equileap Gender Equality Report evaluates companies according to different criteria including gender balance in board of directors, executive board, senior management and general workforce positions; gender-based wage gaps, parental leave, sexual harassment and supply chain-related policies. At L'Oréal, women represent half of board members, 32 percent of executive board members, 57 percent of senior positions and 62 percent of international brand directors. Additionally, L'Oréal extends its gender equality philosophy and commitments to the business ecosystem through programs such as "Inclusive Sourcing" which benefits more than 93,000 people worldwide, while supporting women in realizing their potential through the "Women in Science" program.
