Kordsa participated in the Movin'On Conference held in Montreal. Invited as a speaker to the Movin'On Conference, which is a continuation of the Michelin Challenge Bibendum organized by Michelin for over 20 years, Kordsa emphasized that vehicles must be lightweighted for efficient and sustainable transportation. Organized with the goal of "implementing global, smart, sustainable and multi-modal mobility," the Movin'On Conference addresses the impact of disruptive changes in daily life on transportation. It seeks sustainable solutions to problems in the movement of both people and products and goods from one place to another. Over the course of the conference, which brought together more than 4,000 participants from 31 countries and featured more than 70 speakers, there were inspiring presentations, panels, round-table discussions and practical workshops. Today, Kordsa's technology touches all aircraft and automobiles in the world, reinforcing 2 out of every 3 aircraft tires and 1 out of every 3 automobile tires. In its presentation at the conference, Kordsa addressed current problems in transportation and proposed solutions; it emphasized that vehicles must be lightweighted for efficient and sustainable transportation. In the presentation, which sought answers to questions about how transportation will be in the future, how it can be made more efficient and how technology can be leveraged for effective use of transportation, it was conveyed that Kordsa aims to reduce fuel consumption by decreasing friction resistance in tire reinforcement technologies and by making vehicles lighter through composite technologies, thereby making transportation more sustainable. As one of the biggest supporters of the open innovation model, Kordsa, serving as a technology hub in the Composite Technologies Centre of Excellence, is today contributing to the future of transportation by developing composite technologies for a wide range of sectors from aerospace to automotive, and thus lightweighting vehicles.
