Kimpur Receives ISCC PLUS Certification for Gebze and Düzce Facilities

Kimpur, which operates in the field of polyurethane systems, has taken a significant step toward its sustainable production goals by obtaining ISCC PLUS certification for its Gebze and Düzce production facilities. With this development, the company will be able to offer certified products made with bio-circular and recycled raw materials.

Kimpur, a company operating in polyurethane systems, has taken an important step toward its sustainable production goals by obtaining ISCC PLUS certification for its Gebze and Düzce production facilities. With this development, the company will be able to offer certified products made with bio-based and recycled raw materials.

The internationally valid ISCC PLUS system provides traceability throughout all processes from the sourcing of sustainable raw materials to the final product. Kimpur completed the independent audit process and qualified to receive the certification.

Sustainable raw materials to be integrated into production
Under the certification scope, the company will incorporate raw materials derived from bio-based sources and recycled waste into its production processes using the "mass balance" method. In this way, while preserving existing production infrastructure, more sustainable products will be developed without compromising performance.

Kimpur aims to offer ISCC PLUS certified products in rigid and flexible foam systems, particularly polyester polyols, as well as in coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) applications.
Product range with recycled content expanding

The company currently produces polyester polyols obtained from post-consumer PET waste. With the new certification, these products will now be documented in compliance with international standards.

Tuncay Halat, Assistant General Manager of Sales, Marketing and Sustainability at Kimpur, noted that the certification strengthens the company's sustainability approach and stated that they will continue to develop more environmentally friendly solutions without transforming production processes.

Goal: expand sustainable product portfolio
With this step, Kimpur aims to expand its sustainable product portfolio, strengthen collaboration with business partners, and contribute to reducing carbon emissions.
