Kimpur Participates in 10th R&D Project Fair
The 10th Research and Development Project Marketplace, organized by the Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB), took place on 27 November 2021. Kimpur participated in the event.
Kimpur took part in the event with a project titled 'Polyester Synthesis from PET Bottle Waste and Commercial Use in Polyurethane Systems', prepared by its Expert Research and Development Team. The project came in second place in the Plastics and Rubber category.
Kimpur took its place at the 10th Research and Development Project Marketplace held by the Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB) on 27 November 2021. İnan Şahin, Research and Development Manager, made remarks about the project.
Şahin emphasized that the project would be one of the finest examples of nature-friendly product lines, as the recycled product obtained from PET bottle waste through polyester polyol extraction would continue to be used as a superior quality material without loss of class, and conversely, with added value.
Working to Create a Sustainable Future
It was noted that at the 5,000-ton-capacity "recycling facility" for PET waste to be commissioned at Kimpur's second production facility in Düzce, commercial use of the product would be significantly increased.
Kimpur Research and Development Director Dr. Yener Rakıcıoğlu made a statement. Rakıcıoğlu said that Kimpur would continue its efforts to create a sustainable future with projects that benefit the environment and society in all areas where it operates at its Research and Development Centre, registered by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in 2017, without slowing down.
