Kauçuk Avrasya Fair opens its doors

The Kauçuk Eurasia Fair, eagerly anticipated by the sector, opened on 17 April at the Tüyap Convention and Exhibition Centre. Over 140 domestic and international exhibiting companies will present innovative products and technologies to visitors through 20 April. Kauçuk Eurasia, the only event of its kind in Eurasia, attracted strong interest from both local and international participants on its opening day. In addition, panels will be held on the fair's second and third days providing information on compliance with global regulations, local conditions and sustainability in the rubber industry. The official opening ceremony of Kauçuk Eurasia Fair, which aims to bring together key players in the rubber sector to address tomorrow's challenges and shape the future, began on 17 April at 11:30. In his remarks at the ceremony, Özcan Doğu Kaya, Chairman of the Rubber Association, drew attention to the role of the rubber sector in Turkey's economy and emphasized the potential momentum the fair will provide to the sector. Kaya, highlighting not only the direct contributions of the rubber sector but also its multiplier effect on adjacent sectors, said: "In 2023, we reached USD 3.6 billion in exports, and in unclassified rubber products our export unit price per kilogram stood at USD 6.6. When we consider that Turkey's average is around USD 1 per kilogram, this demonstrates how high the added value of our USD 6.6 per kilogram rubber product exports is." The event, held for the 11th time this year by Tüyap Fairs Group and the Rubber Association, serves as an important platform for bringing together industry professionals and facilitating significant commercial cooperation in Eurasia. Visitors will gain valuable information on global regulations, local conditions and sustainability through panels to be held on the fair's second and third days. These panels will address topics such as chemical regulations and their impact on the sector, as well as opportunities and risks related to green consensus in the rubber industry.
