Carbon-Concrete Composite Facade Elements Deliver High-Performance Insulation
BASF is introducing high-performance insulation materials with a new application at the architecture, materials and systems trade fair in Munich between 14–19 January 2019.
The innovative high-performance products SLENTITE® and SLENTEX® are next-generation super-thin foam-based insulation materials with superior material properties. BASF will apply the first application examples to carbon concrete composite facade elements on a detached house.
Thin Concrete Facades for Cube Houses Using SLENTITE® and SLENTEX®
Combining new materials with renewable energy sources is the secret to successful housing in the future. A modern cube-shaped detached house currently under construction in Leipzig is putting this principle into practice. A three-storey building is being constructed in a central location with a carbon concrete composite (C³) and reinforced concrete hybrid load-bearing structure.
