Kale Announces Senior Executive Appointments

Kale has carried out senior-level appointments as part of its restructuring process. Within the scope of internal company appointments carried out under the 'Succession Principle' that Kale Grubu has long implemented within its Human Resources Policy framework and which foresees preparing senior managers for their next positions, new senior management assignments were made in the group management as well as in Kaleseramik and Kalekim companies.

Altuğ Akbaş, Kaleseramik General Manager, appointed to Vice Chairman position

Kadri Tarık Özçelik, Kale Grubu Vice Chairman and member of the Holding Executive Board, who held important positions for 35 years, most recently serving as Kale Grubu Vice Chairman responsible for Production Systems and Operational Development over the past 10 years, retired at his own request on 1 March 2024. With Özçelik's retirement, Kaleseramik General Manager Altuğ Akbaş was appointed to the vacant Kale Grubu Vice Chairman position as of the same date. Akbaş, who has held senior management positions for 30 years at Kale Grubu in Kaledekor, Kalekim and Kaleseramik companies respectively, had been serving since 2019 as Kaleseramik General Manager as well as Chairman of the Board of group companies Kalenakliyat, Kalemaden and Kalefrit. Transferring the General Manager position, Akbaş will continue his duties as Chairman of the Board of Kalemaden, Kalefrit and Kalenakliyat within Kale Holding in his capacity as Kale Grubu Vice Chairman. Altuğ Akbaş will contribute as Kale Grubu Vice Chairman to projects conducted in coordination under Kale Grubu oversight.

Timur Karaoğlu becomes Kaleseramik's new General Manager

Within the scope of the new appointments, Kalekim General Manager Timur Karaoğlu was appointed to the Kaleseramik General Manager position to replace Altuğ Akbaş, who took on the Kale Grubu Vice Chairman role. Karaoğlu, who began his career in 2001 as Kalekim Product Manager at Kale Pazarlama, one of Kale Grubu's companies, and has held important senior positions at Kale Grubu, had been serving since 2019 as Kalekim General Manager as well as Board Member of group company Kalekim Lyksor. Timur Karaoğlu, who has gained significant managerial experience through his successful work during his career, will devote this extensive experience to the development of Kaleseramik and the entire Kale Grubu in the Kaleseramik General Manager position he will assume as of 1 March 2024.

Murat Gönültaş appointed to Kalekim General Manager position

Within the scope of the appointments made at Kale Grubu, Murat Gönültaş, Deputy General Manager responsible for Operations at the company, took over the Kalekim General Manager position vacated by Timur Karaoğlu. Gönültaş, who has held important positions within Kalekim since 2000 and has demonstrated successful performance as Deputy General Manager responsible for Operations since 2019, became Kalekim's new General Manager. Murat Gönültaş, assuming the Kalekim General Manager position as of 1 March, became an important part of the company's business plans, particularly following its public offering. In addition, Gönültaş has played an active role in the implementation of domestic and international investments and made significant contributions to the creation of business plans aligned with the new vision in the process of Kalekim becoming one of Turkey's most valuable brands.
