Women Entrepreneurs to Meet Boyner Group for the 10th Time at 'İyi İşler'

Women entrepreneurs operating in the textile, ready-to-wear, footwear, bags and accessories sectors are gaining access to the knowledge, skills and networks needed to grow and strengthen their businesses through the "iyi işler" project. The 10th round of training under the project, run by Boyner Grup in partnership with KAGİDER, is starting.

Women entrepreneurs operating in the textile, ready-to-wear, footwear, bags and accessories sectors are gaining access to the knowledge, skills and networks needed to grow and strengthen their businesses through the 'Good Business' project. Training for the 10th cohort is beginning under the project being carried out by Boyner Group and KAGIDER.

Boyner Group, which has adopted gender equality as one of its core principles, continues to contribute to social transformation through its work to strengthen women entrepreneurs. The "Good Business: Women Entrepreneurs Empowerment Programme in Food and Non-Electronics Retail," jointly implemented with Turkey Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGIDER), is launching its 10th cohort training.

The program, which will begin on 18 December 2024 and run for 9 weeks, will welcome 31 new women entrepreneurs this year. Opening and closing sessions will be held in person at the KAGIDER office in Istanbul, while other training sessions will be conducted online. Women entrepreneurs from across Turkey will enhance their competitive strength by receiving training in critical areas such as developing sustainable business models, financial management, marketing strategies and digitalization. Upon successfully completing the program, participants will be eligible to receive the 'Good Business' certificate.

Through this valuable project, Boyner Group aims to increase business capacity of women entrepreneurs, contribute to sustainable development, and continue supporting the economy by creating employment across the country. The training program to be implemented within the scope of the project will contribute to women entrepreneurs advancing with firmer steps in the business world. As it has done previously, Good Business will continue to bring women entrepreneurs to the forefront of the business world in this cohort as well.

Elif Ateşok Şatıroğlu, Executive Board Member of Boyner Group and Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, making statements regarding the project, said, "Having more women in the business world means a brighter future for all of us. Through the Good Business project, we tell our women entrepreneurs that we are here, you are not alone. It is an honor to be part of seeing the businesses of the women entrepreneurs we support grow and women's employment increase."

Noting their joy at the strong participation in project applications and that this interest is an indicator of participation intensity in future years, Şatıroğlu continued: "This project is not just support for women to grow their businesses, but also a journey for us to see together how much change they can create. We sincerely believe that everything will be more beautiful in a world where women demonstrate their power. For a more equal and fairer future, we will always continue to do Better Business!"

KAGIDER President Esra Bezircioğlu said, "Our women entrepreneurs are the driving force of our country's economic and social development. The Good Business project, which we have implemented with Boyner Group, is a long-term and extremely valuable program that enables women to have a stronger presence in the business world. Through this program, our women entrepreneurs access the education and guidance they need to grow their businesses, while at the same time they have the opportunity to join a wide business network.

The success achieved by the women entrepreneurs who have graduated from the program to date makes us proud. Their stories strengthen our hopes for a more equal and sustainable future. These successes prove once again that women add value not only to their own businesses, but also to local economies and society. As KAGIDER, it is a great joy for us to see the long-term impact of the work we are doing to strengthen women entrepreneurs.

With the Good Business project, we are not only contributing to the individual success of women entrepreneurs; we are also pioneers of a transformation that will support social development. More women entrepreneurs joining this project will make women's power more visible in every field of the economy. We will always be by their side to increase women's power in the economy." he said.

Over 160 women have met 'Good Business'

The 'Good Business' project, which started its first cohort in 2015 and has been implemented in cooperation with KAGIDER since 2018, has graduated over 160 women entrepreneurs to date. Beyond just receiving training, graduates gain access to Boyner Group's wide customer network, providing them with the opportunity to grow their businesses and gain visibility. Women entrepreneurs benefiting from Boyner Group's online channels reach millions of customers while also taking advantage of market access and promotional support.

A project that sets an example globally

Good Business, which focuses on providing economic and social benefits for women entrepreneurs, has become a project that has attracted attention worldwide. Just one year after its launch, in 2016, it was presented as an exemplary program at the United Nations Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Meeting held in New York, making a difference on the international stage. It was also presented in the World Bank's global 'SheWorks' report.
