Cooperation Agreement Between İstinye University and Cambridge University

İstinye University Foreign Languages Department qualified to become Turkey's first "Cambridge University Assessment Training Center."

Cambridge University's Measurement and Assessment Training Center is an educational institution that shares the University's expertise in measurement and assessment and offers training programs for professionals. This center helps educators at all levels develop their knowledge and skills in measurement and assessment.

The Assessment Network within Cambridge University is a unit aimed at contributing to professional development necessary for the production and implementation of effective measurement and assessment. Within the scope of the trainings, the aim is to transfer the necessary knowledge to measurement and assessment practitioners on designing, developing and implementing measurement and assessment tools. The center offers various training modules to convey effective measurement and assessment methods to educators. These trainings constitute an important resource that enables participants to gain knowledge in areas such as exam design, student assessment tools, and data analysis. Programs supporting educators' professional development aim for teachers to acquire practical knowledge and skills not only in classroom practice, but also in teaching methodologies and assessment processes.

The "Cambridge University Assessment Training Center" (Measurement and Assessment Center) offers İstinye University educators a comprehensive program that supports their professional development in education by providing in-depth knowledge and competence in modern measurement and assessment techniques. This center aims to enhance educators' measurement and assessment competencies through teaching methods compliant with international standards. İstinye University strengthens its academic impact internationally by targeting high global standards in measurement and assessment fields. The training programs implemented through Cambridge University collaboration constitute an important milestone in line with İstinye University's principles of pioneering and universalism in education.

About the "Cambridge University Assessment Training Center" Measurement and Assessment Training Program: Participants who successfully complete all training modules will receive a certificate approved by Cambridge University and İstinye University. The trainings will be conducted in two different formats: in-person and online. Participants will undergo a pre-assessment before being admitted to the program. The in-person training duration is 15 hours with no limit on the number of participants. The online training duration is 30 hours with participant numbers limited to 20. The target participant group for the training is K12 teachers and university instructors. A101 and A102 trainings address educators in all disciplines. Erdem Aydemir, Unit Coordinator for Measurement and Assessment at the İstinye University Foreign Languages Department and Lecturer, successfully completed The Assessment Network's first Measurement and Assessment Trainers Program in April 2024 and gained the authority to deliver the following A10 Measurement and Assessment trainings in both in-person and online formats.
