Joint Statement from İMİB Board Members Ahead of Elections Ahead of the April general assembly elections of the Istanbul Mining Exporters Association (İMİB), a member of the Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM), current Board Chairman Aydın Dinçer and fellow board members convened to make statements. Sharing a joint message with board members, Dinçer delivered messages regarding export success, solutions to sector problems, trade fair participation, promotional activities and new-term targets for sustainable mining. As the April elections approach, the current Board Chairman of the Istanbul Mining Exporters Association (İMİB), which continues its activities to ensure sustainable growth of the mining sector—strategically positioned for Turkey's economy—Aydın Dinçer and fellow board members made statements. Ahead of the İMİB general assembly elections, Dinçer shared messages alongside his full team, addressing export success, solutions to sector problems, trade fair participation, promotional activities and sustainable mining—areas on which they will focus in the new term. Aydın Dinçer's goal: a management where differing views will achieve new successes Stating that the elections to be held in April will be different from previous periods, Dinçer said, "In previous elections, we had backup candidates from one company and other companies, and we struggled to find firms. In this election, we will enter the election with a list formed by bringing together companies with differing perspectives. We want a management where very different ideas will emerge and our sector will undertake new initiatives based on these ideas. For this reason, we came together as one to convey what we will do for the sector and to renew confidence by stating what we have accomplished so far, and to serve the sector with a strong team. If we are working for the mining sector, we must always emphasize that minds and financial resources should not be wasted and that work should be done in partnership. We want this to continue in the new term as well. Beyond this, we will build a structure where all board members can take on roles in the areas where they are experts in both domestic and international events. This way, everyone will actively generate work and provide benefits. In doing so, we will represent our sector and generate ideas to carry out beneficial work for the sector. We will also bring other institutions together for the future and benefit of the sector," he said.

Joint target for the new term: export and sector success

Sharing information about their targets for the coming period, Dinçer stated, "We will continue to inform the public with accurate information and communication channels to facilitate export success and mineral production. To open the way for mining activities, we will continue work toward lifting the Special Consumption Tax on fuel. Beyond this, we will continue to participate in trade fairs with trading delegations in our new and existing markets to increase exports. In addition to the sector's main fairs, we aim to bring our minerals to more markets through our participation in boutique fairs. Specifically for natural stone with the Turkish Stones brand and for minerals with the Turkish Minerals brand, we will participate in all types of online and physical activities to promote them worldwide. Regarding the container problem, which is among our important challenges, we will show that we stand by our companies by taking solution-oriented steps in the new term. Additionally, we will continue the sustainable mining work we have been conducting seriously for a long time in the new term," he stated.
