IMCD Acquires Italian Specialty Chemicals Distributor Neuvendis

IMCD NV, a leading distributor of specialty chemicals and food ingredients (also referred to as "IMCD" or "the Company"), announced that it has acquired 100% of Neuvendis Spa, based in Milan, Italy. Neuvendis, which focuses on construction, paints and coatings and other specialty markets, represents an excellent fit with IMCD's existing operations. Neuvendis is one of the leading market players in the distribution of specialty chemicals in Italy, supplying the construction, coatings and paints, adhesives, plastics, inks and leather sectors. In 2016, Neuvendis generated revenue of EUR 26.3 million with 20 employees. Gabriele Bonomi, General Manager of IMCD Italy, commented on the acquisition: "This acquisition positions IMCD perfectly to achieve further growth in the specialty chemicals market in Italy and Southern Europe.
