İGA İstanbul Airport's "Zafer Yolu" Project Enters Its 6th Year

İGA İstanbul Airport continues to support the educational infrastructure of village schools along the route of the Great Offensive (Büyük Taarruz) through its “Zafer Yolu” (Victory Road) project, carried out within the scope of the August 30 Victory Day. As part of this year’s work under the project, an information technology classroom and a multi-purpose sports field were made available for students’ use in Eskişehir.

İGA İstanbul Airport continues its social investments in education in the 6th year of the “Zafer Yolu” project, carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education. Within the scope of the project, which aims to support village schools along the route of the Great Offensive and to embrace the historical heritage of the War of Independence, efforts have been carried out to date to develop the educational infrastructure in various provinces.

The “Zafer Yolu” project, which began in 2021 in the village of Garipçe in Afyonkarahisar, continues along a wide route covering Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Uşak, Eskişehir, Balıkesir, Aydın, Manisa, İzmir, Bursa, Bandırma and Erdek.

Support for education and sports infrastructure in Eskişehir
As part of the project’s 2026 activities, an information technology classroom was created at Şehit Mustafa Özdemir Secondary School in Eskişehir. The classroom aims to facilitate students’ access to technology and to develop their digital skills.

At Eskişehir Nurettin Topçu Primary School, a multi-purpose sports field was completed with the aim of supporting students’ physical development, encouraging teamwork, and increasing social interaction areas.

In previous years, various efforts were also carried out within the scope of İGA’s “Zafer Yolu” project to develop the educational facilities of schools. Following Kınık Village School and Karacaören Primary School in Sinanpaşa, Afyonkarahisar, an information technology classroom was established at Fuat Paşa Secondary School in Kütahya, and a library with a capacity of 3,000 books was created.

In 2025, an IT classroom and a library were established to strengthen the educational infrastructure of Bozkuş Primary School and Bozkuş Secondary School in Uşak. Stationery, book, and toy support was also provided to students by the İGA Social Solidarity Club.

August 30 Victory Day to be celebrated at İstanbul Airport
İGA İstanbul Airport will also organize special events at the terminal within the scope of the August 30 Victory Day. In the events, where İstanbul Airport will be decorated in red and white colors, band and procession teams will welcome passengers and accompany the enthusiasm of Victory Day.

Aiming to contribute to passing on historical awareness to future generations through the “Zafer Yolu” project, İGA İstanbul Airport intends to continue its social support efforts in the field of education in different regions.
