Hayat Holding Receives Two Prestigious Sustainability Awards

Hayat Holding wins two major sustainability awards with its "We Care for Life – Ecological Literacy" project, which it has implemented to raise environmental awareness through a Generations of Benefit approach.

With its 88-year-rooted history, Hayat Holding won the Gold Award in the Best Team in Climate Crisis category at The Hammers Awards, which rewards team achievements across Turkey through the structure of 6 main headings and 89 subcategories and is shaped by evaluations from the country's most valued jury members; and was recognized with the Sustainability Communication Award under the Sustainable Business Awards, which aim to make projects that transformatively manage organizations' environmental, economic and social impacts visible and encourage the transition to sustainable business models.

We Care for Life Ecological Literacy: An Education Model for Future Direction
The We Care for Life – Ecological Literacy project, which Hayat Holding has implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, aims to equip children with life skills aligned with nature and strengthen awareness of a sustainable future.

The project, which has Hacettepe University and Mimar Sinan University as scientific partners, offers a comprehensive curriculum model consisting of original content, educational materials and game-based activities under the heading "Ecological Literacy".

The project, implemented in 30 provinces determined by taking into account Turkish representation, population density and the Drought Maps of the General Directorate of Meteorology, reached 3,300 teachers, 160,000 parents and 86,500 students across 900 schools.

A total of 80,000 observation notebooks and 650,000 game materials reached students. 90,000 books were distributed through MEB-approved Life Libraries.

The We Care for Life Ecological Literacy project strengthens children's bond with the environment by raising awareness in the areas of biodiversity, climate action and responsible production and consumption.
These achievements reaffirmed Hayat Holding's vision of generating benefit for generations toward a sustainable world.
