Continuing its support for the earthquake-affected region, Dental Estetik Center launched an oral and dental health corporate social responsibility project in cooperation with Hatay Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGİD). As part of the project, 700 students in Hatay, an earthquake-affected region, received oral health and dental screening.
Additionally, children were explained through various dramatizations the causes of tooth decay and were informed about how decayed teeth should be treated. The event, which lasted two days starting from Hatay as the pilot region, aims to continue the work in other earthquake-affected areas.
The work that began in Hatay, the pilot region of the project, is planned to continue in other earthquake-affected areas. It is also aimed to continue similar projects and reach more children while raising greater awareness in society about the importance of oral health.
Güzin Kırsaçlıoğlu, Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and Turkey Representative of Divas in Dentistry, highlighted the importance of oral and dental health on overall health and stated that such corporate social responsibility projects are important.
Kırsaçlıoğlu stated: "Supporting people living in earthquake-affected areas and finding solutions to their health problems is very valuable. Oral and dental health is a matter accessible to everyone. We are pleased to create awareness in society by establishing cooperation with NGOs in such projects and providing support.
Starting from Hatay, an earthquake-affected region, we are determined to continue and expand similar work in other areas. We believe that such social responsibility projects should be continuously supported. We thank everyone who contributed to the project. These conscientious initiatives always have positive effects on society, and we will continue to support them."
Uzm. Dt. İlkay Gül, who mentioned the great difficulties experienced in the field of dental health in the city where many people lost their lives and many buildings were destroyed, stated: "As Dental Estetik Center, we are here to provide oral and dental health screening and awareness services to approximately 700 earthquake-affected children in Hatay. Regular tooth brushing and maintaining oral health are critical. With this project approved by the Provincial Administration and Municipality, we want to emphasize that paying attention to dental health habits is important under all circumstances. In fact, the aim of the project is to protect the oral and dental health of children living in the earthquake-affected region and build their awareness.
Such social responsibility projects are important for increasing public health awareness and adopting healthy lifestyle habits. With this project, we want to raise awareness among children about dental health and care at an early age. We also wanted to explain to children the connection between dental health and overall health and emphasize the importance of regular dental check-ups. The interest and support shown in the project demonstrates that this is a process that should be continued in other areas," he said.
