Hans Van Bylen Named New Global CEO of Henkel
Hans Van Bylen took office as Henkel's new global CEO effective 1 May 2016. Van Bylen took over the role from Kasper Rorsted, who served on Henkel's Management Board for 11 years.

Speaking about the leadership change, Dr. Simone Bagel-Trah, Chairwoman of Henkel's Advisory Board and Shareholders' Committee, stated: "I am pleased that Henkel will be led by Hans Van Bylen in the future. With his long tenure and international experience at Henkel, excellent management skills, and his passionate commitment to brands, innovation and customers, he is perfectly suited for the CEO position. With Hans Van Bylen, we know that Henkel's future is in good hands." Hans Van Bylen commented: "My appointment as CEO is both an honor and a responsibility for me. I look forward to starting my duties and am confident that together with my global team we will continue Henkel's successful development in the future." Hans Van Bylen (55) joined Henkel in 1984 and has had a successful career at the company over the past 31 years. During this time, Hans Van Bylen held management positions in two of Henkel's business units, Laundry and Home Care and Beauty Care, across a wide geographic area. Starting his career in Belgium and the Benelux region, Hans Van Bylen subsequently took on business responsibilities in France, Western Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Since 2005, he has been a member of the Board of Management responsible for the Beauty Care business division. Born in 1961 in Berchem, Belgium, Hans Van Bylen is married with three children. Van Bylen is a graduate of the Business Administration department at the University of Antwerp and holds an MBA in Business Administration. Pascal Houdayer assumed Hans Van Bylen's responsibilities on the Board of Management of Henkel's Beauty Care business unit. Pascal Houdayer (46) joined Henkel in 2011. He served as manager responsible for Home Care, New Business Development and International Marketing, which encompasses the digital activities of the Laundry and Home Care business unit. Additionally, he was responsible for the business unit's Asia-Pacific region. Before joining Henkel, starting from 1993, Pascal Houdayer held various international positions within Procter & Gamble in Europe, North Africa and America in the Body Care field as well as in the Laundry and Home Care field. Pascal Houdayer has been a member of Henkel's Board of Management since 1 March 2016. Born in 1969 in Eaubonne, France, Pascal Houdayer is married with three children. Houdayer completed the Mathematics department at ESSEC Business School in Paris and holds an MBA in Business Administration.Advertisement
