GİK Leadership Academy Holds First Training Session Turkey's first Young Exporters Council (GİK), established within Aegean Exporters Associations in 2019, held the inaugural training of its GİK Leadership Academy. Aegean Exporters Associations Young Exporters Council Vice Chair Ferzan Gizem Kula announced that trainings under the GİK Leadership Academy programme will be held monthly and commented: "When we think of leadership, many superior qualities come to mind. The greatest difference between a manager and a leader is the ability to inspire, remain open to innovation and different perspectives, and to trigger or initiate change. Through the presentation of trainer Altay Ergenç and with the participation of our GİK members, we conducted our Inspirational Leadership training, discussing leader definitions, paths to follow and strategies." she said. Aegean Exporters Associations Young Exporters Council Vice Chair Gizem Dönmez Gürkan believes that creative minds are nourished by inspiration. Gürkan continued: "Today the world faces enormous challenges. We need to break free from these problems and, as tomorrow's leaders, demonstrate serious commitment by questioning whether 'our ideas are making the world a better place'. What matters is laying the foundations for a future that everyone finds fair, inspiring and meaningful through the changes we make. In this way, we can shape 'tomorrow' starting today and create a truly sustainable system. In our next training on 21 October, we will examine Effective Communication and Personal Image, a shared characteristic of people in the business world who manage change rather than being affected by it." she said.
