Gamze Dalgıç Bozyiğit Named Turkey Representative to IUPAC Green Chemistry Committee
Dr. Gamze Dalgıç Bozyiğit, a faculty member at Yıldız Technical University's Department of Environmental Engineering, has been elected as Turkey's representative to the Interdivisional Committee on Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development within the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), one of the world's leading chemistry organizations.
Gamze Dalgıç Bozyiğit, Lecturer at the Department of Environmental Engineering at Yıldız Technical University, has been selected as Turkey's representative to the Interdisciplinary Committee on Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development within the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), one of the world's most important chemistry organisations.
Gamze Dalgıç Bozyiğit, Lecturer at the Department of Environmental Engineering at Yıldız Technical University, will take on a role within the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), one of the world's most respected international organisations in the field of chemistry.
Bozyiğit has been selected as Turkey's representative to IUPAC's Interdisciplinary Committee on Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development. The committee conducts work aimed at developing international cooperation in green chemistry in line with sustainable development goals, and at developing and promoting environmentally friendly chemical processes.
The committee operating within IUPAC particularly encourages cooperation between academia, industry and research institutions for the development of chemical processes that generate less waste, have high energy efficiency and are environmentally conscious.
The selection of Lecturer Gamze Dalgıç Bozyiğit for this important position is considered a significant development in terms of strengthening Turkey's international representation in both Turkish science and the field of green chemistry.
