MUSIC RISING FROM THE FACTORY

Istanbul Gedik University, aiming to bring together fire's creative and unifying power with art, held the first event in its series launched under the slogan "It Unites. For Art…" with a concert performed by the world-renowned Rezonans Choir. The first concert of the project, supported by Gedik Holding and Gedik Education Foundation, was held at the GeKa Robot Application and Training facility under the title "Choir in the Factory". Istanbul Gedik University Board of Trustees and Gedik Holding Management Board Chairman Hülya Gedik and Istanbul Gedik University Art Advisor Caner Akgün gave opening remarks, after which the concert took place with the participation of Gedik Holding Management and employees, Istanbul Gedik University students and academics, as well as other guests. Rezonans Choir, founded in 2010 by Conductor Burak Onur Erdem and one of Turkey's internationally recognized choirs, performed on a stage set up within the GeKa Robot Application and Training facility, presenting works grouped under four headings: "Milestones in History", "Contemporary Breezes", "Our Voices" and "Cultures and Colors". The second event in the series launched with the slogan "It Unites. For Art…" will take place on 5 December 2018 at Istanbul Gedik University's Kartal Campus under the title "Chamber Music on Campus", performed by Nemeth Quartet.
