Evonik Introduces New Generation of Superabsorbents
Essen. With FAVOR®max, Evonik has developed the next generation of superabsorbents with unique properties. This new generation makes baby diapers and incontinence products more liquid-absorbent and safer. Hygiene product manufacturers can increase the efficiency of their products further with Evonik's new superabsorbents and tailor them to meet the needs of different customer groups.
Small quantities of the new FAVOR®max high-performance superabsorbents enable rapid absorption of larger quantities of liquid and provide long-lasting dryness. This property is made possible through a well-balanced combination of the superabsorbent's basic performance parameters, coordinated with the special design of the absorbent core.
Performance is enhanced through the most efficient collaboration with other components of hygiene products. FAVOR®max 1000 is designed for use in ultra-thin materials.
The new superabsorbents increase fluid dynamics within absorbent cores and reduce the risk of fluid leakage thanks to the extraordinary profile of perfectly coordinated parameters. This property is achieved through high retention under pressure, permeability, and absorption rate.
The superabsorbents in the FAVOR®max 2000 product group demonstrate high absorption capacity, high retention, and absorption rate even under pressure in absorbent cores with high cellulose content.
This substance thus enables rapid and safe absorption of large quantities of liquid among other substances in incontinence products.
Evonik experts in baby care also offer additional solutions. These additional solutions include barriers that prevent odor formation, stable superabsorbent material color even under challenging environmental conditions, and optimal processability for customers.
The most efficient hygiene products can only be developed through understanding of superabsorbent, absorbent core, and other material components.
Evonik experts analyze the efficacy of superabsorbents using proprietary test methods that have become industry standard. In doing so, they focus on the performance of all materials from the superabsorbent alone during the development phase through to the final product.
