Evonik and Kimsel Kimya Continue to Join Forces

A Technical Seminar and Traditional Kimsel Evening held by Kimsel Kimya at Adile Sultan Palace on Thursday, 12 April 2018 drew strong interest and participation.

Kimsel Kimya reached a new agreement with Evonik, one of the world's leading specialty chemical companies, and will henceforth take on the distribution of not only TEGO but also Acematt, Aerosil and Air Product products. On the subject, Evonik Turkey Business Development Manager Selin Balaban stated: "Evonik closed 2017 with EUR 14.4 billion in turnover, with 80% of that EUR 14.4 billion turnover coming from products where we are market leaders. As Evonik, we operate in many countries worldwide. Since our headquarters is in Essen, Germany, we are particularly more active in Western Europe compared to other regions. Evonik consists of three major segments. We have three separate companies and under these companies, 22 separate business units. The 22 separate business units operate like 22 separate companies. All laboratories, technical teams and sales are separate from each other, so we have products in many areas of chemistry."

Evonik Turkey Paints and Coatings Additives Sales Manager Ebru Pilavcı Erişçi spoke about the business partnership between Evonik and Kimsel Kimya: "I am the sales manager of the division you know as TEGO but which is called paints and coatings additives in our company. I would like to say with pride that these 11 years have been very good. Together with Kimsel Kimya, hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, we have worked hard and both our Turkey team grew and Kimsel Kimya's team grew. Kürşat perhaps believed in us before we believed in ourselves. We experienced the transparent distributor-supplier relationship that we tell everyone about with pride. Following the developments at Evonik over the past two years, Kimsel Kimya will now have a larger share and we can finally create an environment where we can contribute to the growth of both ourselves and Kimsel Kimya. After we completed our own organization, we can announce as of today that Kimsel Kimya is fully responsible for our new product group. Kürşat and his team will be responsible not only for TEGO but also for Acematt, Aerosil and Air Products products."

After the technical seminars were completed, the Traditional Kimsel Evening began with remarks by Kimsel Kimya Board Vice Chairman Börteçine Balcıoğlu.
