Enerjisa Üretim Builds an Energy Ecosystem Empowered by Women

Enerjisa Üretim, which positions equal opportunity in the energy sector as a commitment to future generations, is firmly presenting its inclusive transformation vision on International Women's Day. With Çanakkale Ovacık Wind Power Plant, Turkey's first wind power plant managed entirely by a female team, the company demonstrates through a concrete model that a new era focused on equality in energy is possible.

Enerjisa Üretim positions equal opportunity in the energy sector as a commitment to future generations, and on International Women's Day, presents its vision of inclusive transformation with strong emphasis. Through Turkey's first wind power plant managed entirely by an all-female team, Çanakkale Ovacık RES, the company demonstrates through a concrete model that a new era focused on equality in energy is possible.

The increasing role of women in the energy sector becomes ever more visible through real-world experience and tangible results from the field. Ovacık RES in Çanakkale, with an operations structure composed entirely of women, represents a large-scale and powerful transformation being conducted with high performance in the field. This model, in which female engineers and technicians play active roles, demonstrates that representation in technical fields is being strengthened in a sustainable manner and has gained lasting momentum.

Energy Transformation Powered by Women
Female professionals trained through the REDKA (Women Transforming Wind into Energy) program, which forms a strong pillar of Enerjisa Üretim's human resources and culture strategy, today work as active participants in operations at wind power plants, while Ovacık RES is positioned as a scalable and inspiring inclusive transformation model.

Within the scope of the REDKA Engineer and Technician programs, 25 female engineers and technicians have been brought into Enerjisa Üretim. This strong talent structure demonstrates that REDKA delivers lasting value to the energy sector as a qualified, sustainable, and long-term talent development platform.

Inclusive Energy Ecosystem
As Enerjisa Üretim expands renewable energy investments, it places equal opportunity at the center of its corporate culture, advancing capacity growth alongside a strong talent infrastructure.
The REDKA Technician program will continue with its new phase in 2026. Announcements for the program will be made in May. Within the program scope, participants will be prepared for the field through one-on-one and practical technical training. Operating with limited capacity, this structure aims to create in-depth learning and lasting employment impact.

"A future growing through the power of women"
Ayşegül Gürkale, Assistant General Manager of Human Resources and Culture at Enerjisa Üretim, emphasizing human-centered transformation beyond megawatts, stated: "For energy transformation to progress in a lasting and sustainable manner, alongside technology investments, it also requires a strong talent transformation. Today in the world, one of the most powerful drivers of sustainable growth is diversity and inclusion. We do not view transformation in energy merely as technological progress; we believe it is also a profound cultural transformation. In our sector, which centers digitalization and sustainability with data-driven business models, building a strong talent pool with high competencies to respond to increasingly complex and technical questions is of critical importance. It is precisely at this point that we believe steps to strengthen equal opportunity accelerate the sector's transformation pace. Through our REDKA program, we bring female engineers and technicians to the technical heart of the sector, building an opportunity equality model based on competency. Our all-female operations structure at Çanakkale Ovacık RES is one of the most concrete indicators of this approach. The model we have created here is a clear transformation story demonstrating that women can perform strongly in every role in a large-scale renewable energy investment. We aim for the opportunities brought by growth and change in the energy sector to remove invisible barriers before women. We work with determination to make the understanding that this work has no gender, first in minds, then lasting in the field."

Gürkale continued: "In our 30th year, as the first company in the sector to exceed the 1,000 MW installed capacity threshold in wind energy, we have reached an important milestone. What makes this success meaningful for us is the transformation we have brought to life in our organization, the career paths we have opened, and the talent ecosystem we have strengthened. We extend its scope beyond megawatts, creating stronger, more lasting, and more meaningful value together with the inclusive and sustainable talent ecosystem we have built. The signature of women in the future of energy becomes more pronounced with each passing day. We are not limiting this transformation to words, but expanding and making it permanent through concrete field applications."
