Economic confidence index rose to 73.5 in June, up 19.1 percent month-on-month.
Economic confidence index increased to 73.5 in June, rising 19.1 percent month-on-month as the country entered a new normalization period under measures to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Turkey's Statistical Institute released the economic confidence index data for June. According to the data, the index rose 19.1 percent compared to May, reaching 73.5. The increase in the economic confidence index stemmed from gains in consumer, real sector (manufacturing), services, retail trade and construction sector confidence indices. Consumer confidence index rose 5.2 percent month-on-month in June to 62.6, real sector confidence index increased 22.2 percent to 89.8, services sector confidence index rose 8.5 percent to 55.5, retail trade sector confidence index gained 9.3 percent to 86.4, and construction sector confidence index climbed 33.1 percent to 78.
