Aegean Region Exports USD 1.641 Billion in October
The Aegean Exporters' Associations (EİB) increased its exports by 1.8% in October 2025 compared to the same period last year, raising the figure to USD 1 billion 641 million. EİB's exports stood at USD 1 billion 612 million in October 2024. During this period, the increase in EİB's exports amounted to USD 29 million, while the positive effect of the exchange rate parity was recorded as USD 55 million.
Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri (EİB) increased its October 2025 exports by 1.8% year-on-year to USD 1.641 billion, up from USD 1.612 billion in October 2024. The export increase during this period was USD 29 million, while the positive effect of parity was recorded as USD 55 million.
Turkey's overall exports reached USD 24 billion with a 2.3% increase. The contribution of parity to exports nationwide was calculated at USD 726 million.
Industrial and mining exports rise, agriculture declines
Industrial sectors within EİB increased their October exports by 4% from USD 783.8 million to USD 817.6 million. The mining sector also achieved an export performance of USD 126.7 million with a 9% increase. In contrast, agricultural product exports fell by 2% to USD 696.7 million.
Of the 12 exporters' unions under EİB, 4 succeeded in increasing their exports, while 8 fell behind the same month of the previous year.
Iron and steel sector maintains leadership
Ege Demir ve Demirdışı Metaller İhracatçıları Birliği increased its October exports by 27% from USD 183 million to USD 233 million, achieving the highest export figure within EİB.
Cereals, pulses and oilseeds sector records highest growth
Ege Hububat, Bakliyat, Yağlı Tohumlar ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği increased its October exports by 38% to USD 95.9 million. This performance made the union the "monthly export growth record holder" within EİB.
Aquatic products sector sets monthly record
Ege Su &Ürünleri ve Hayvansal Mamuller İhracatçıları Birliği increased its exports by 15% to USD 179 million following the restoration of export licensing to the Chinese market. This figure was recorded as the sector's highest monthly export amount in its history.
Climate crisis impacts dried fruit exports
Ege Kuru Meyve ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği entered an intensive period with the start of the 2025/26 dried fig season, achieving USD 133.6 million in exports in October. However, crop losses in seedless raisins and dried apricots due to the climate crisis caused a 7% drop in sector exports.
Mining exports up 9%
Ege Maden İhracatçıları Birliği maintained its strong performance in October as usual, recording USD 126.7 million in exports with a 9% increase.
Other sectors overview
Ege Yaş Meyve Sebze İhracatçıları Birliği remained at the USD 117 million level with a 9% decline in exports.
Ege Hazır Giyim ve Konfeksiyon İhracatçıları Birliği achieved USD 101.8 million in exports with a 9% decline.
Ege Tütün İhracatçıları Birliği recorded USD 76.7 million in exports with a 13% decrease in October despite its successful annual performance.
Ege Mobilya, Kâğıt ve Orman Ürünleri İhracatçıları Birliği reached USD 69.7 million in exports.
Ege Tekstil ve Hammaddeleri İhracatçıları Birliği achieved USD 27.6 million, while Ege Deri ve Deri Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği recorded USD 10.7 million in exports.
Aegean Region's exports reach USD 2.82 billion
According to data from Turkey's Exporters Assembly (TİM), the Aegean Region achieved USD 2.823 billion in exports in October. This figure was at the USD 2.816 billion level in the same month of the previous year.
By region's provinces:
İzmir alone accounted for 53% of total Aegean exports with USD 1.495 billion in exports.
Manisa ranked second with USD 479.7 million in exports.
Denizli increased its exports by 7% to USD 412.5 million.
Muğla drew attention by reaching USD 121.7 million with a 16% increase.
Kütahya set the region's growth record with an 18% increase and USD 39.4 million in exports.
Exports from Aegean to 186 countries
EİB members exported to 186 countries in October.
Germany ranked first with USD 164.5 million,
The United States with USD 116.7 million,
and Italy with USD 111 million in exports ranked in the top three.
EİB's exports to the European Union increased by 5% to USD 792 million, while exports to Africa reached USD 132 million with a 17% increase. In contrast, exports to Middle East countries declined by 6%, and exports to the Americas fell by 13%.
Aegean's export power continues to grow
Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri continue to contribute to Turkey's exports with strong diversity in agriculture, industry and mining sectors. EİB aims to close 2025 with growth through new market strategies that will support sustainable export increases.
