In accordance with decisions taken during the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) Business Councils' 2025 Electoral Ordinary General Assembly, a new term has begun at DEİK Energy Business Council. Businessman Sarper Cengiz assumes the chairmanship, while EDSİS (Energy Storage Systems Association) and CCT Enerji Board Chairman C. Can Tutaşı was elected to Board membership.
This development opens the way for energy storage technologies to be addressed more visibly on Turkey's energy policy agenda and in international cooperation at a time when energy transition is accelerating. The new term aims to position storage systems more clearly under strategic headings such as renewable energy integration, supply security, and grid flexibility.
STRONG TEAM ON THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE AT DEİK ENERGY BUSINESS COUNCIL
The new management structure brings together representatives of leading institutions operating in different areas of the energy sector. The management includes senior representatives of organizations playing an active role globally in production, renewable energy, energy technologies, sustainability, and investment.
The presence of names from the sector's main components such as Limak, Kalyon, OYAK, SOCAR, Aksa, Zero Waste Foundation, CCT Enerji, Girişim, EGESA, Naturel, Win Solar, YEO, and IC Enterra in the management list offers a structure that strengthens both public-private sector cooperation and international energy diplomacy.
In the new term, the Council is expected to:
-represent Turkey's energy vision more effectively on international platforms,
-strengthen investment and trade channels,
-assume a more prominent role in the global energy transition process
